This policy explains what personal information Vumio collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle your data in line with South Africa's POPIA.
Information we collect
Account details you give us (name, email, phone), and information needed to provide the service — pickup and delivery addresses, trip and order history, and payment details processed by our gateway.
Location data while you use a ride or delivery, so we can match you with a driver or courier and show live tracking.
How we use it
To operate the service: book rides, place orders, process payments, provide support and keep the platform safe. We never sell your personal information.
Vumio does not store your full card details — payments are handled by our payment provider.
Sharing
We share only what's needed to complete your request: a driver or courier sees your pickup/drop-off and contact for the trip; a store sees your order. Service providers process data on our behalf under contract.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal information, and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights; we'll respond within the timeframes POPIA requires.
Retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. We protect it with encryption in transit and access controls.
